About the role
- Manufacturing Engineering Technician providing NC programming support for CNC and plasma systems at Prolec. Assisting with tooling development and engineering projects to boost production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide programming support for: Plasma cutting machines
- CNC wood routing machines
- CNC machining centers
- Write, revise, and maintain manufacturing procedures
- Research and procure parts, tools, and materials for engineering projects
- Support LEAN initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen activities
- Design simple production tools, jigs, and assembly fixtures
- Assist with new machine introductions and capital expenditure (capex) projects
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with strong machining process knowledge.
- Experience operating or programming CNC equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods as required by shop-floor activities.
