About the role

  • Conduct comprehensive research to identify and assess emerging market trends, acquisition targets, and partnership opportunities aligned with Plusgrade's strategic objectives.
  • Continuously monitor competitive M&A activity and industry developments, focusing on the travel, loyalty technology, and hospitality sectors.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions and investment opportunities.
  • Perform rigorous financial and commercial due diligence to confirm operational synergies and strategic fit prior to transaction commitment.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to shape long-term corporate development strategy, prioritizing M&A and investment opportunities that accelerate revenue scale and product diversification.
  • Articulate compelling business cases and strategic plans to justify new transaction initiatives.
  • Contribute to end-to-end M&A processes, including deal structuring, negotiations, and integration planning.
  • Support legal and financial advisors during transaction phases, ensuring alignment with internal objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and help structure strategic partnerships to complement Plusgrade's ecosystem.
  • Work cross-functionally to model partnership impacts and establish success frameworks.
  • Prepare critical presentations, board materials, and leadership reports, translating complex transaction metrics and market insights into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Provide timely, critical updates on the status of strategic initiatives and active transactions.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Corporate Development (CorpDev), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Investments, Transaction Services, or Transactions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience conveying complex data to senior leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
