Responsibilities
Targeted coordination of bed capacity in line with the hospital’s strategy
Daily coordination with the emergency department, general wards and intensive care units to manage admissions, transfers and discharges
Promote transparent and consistent implementation of defined occupancy rules to achieve targeted and balanced utilization of wards
Manage interfaces with all involved departments
Contribute to ongoing development
Develop and implement binding occupancy standards for elective and emergency patients
Requirements
Completed nursing qualification (e.g., general nursing, registered nurse or equivalent)
Several years of professional experience in a hospital and solid knowledge of medical diagnoses and the resulting nursing care requirements
Experience in occupancy/bed management is desirable, as well as a strong understanding of hospital economic processes
Confident use of clinical documentation and IT-supported hospital systems (experience with ORBIS [Dedalus] is advantageous)
Analytical, structured and independent working style
Strong communication and assertiveness in an interdisciplinary environment, with a solution-oriented and cooperative attitude toward all professional groups
Strong sense of responsibility
