About the role

  • Commercial Manager responsible for pricing strategy and margin management for engineered plastics. Collaborating with various teams to achieve financial objectives in Wyandotte, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pricing strategy development and implementation, margin management, and contracts/commercial agreements for the Engineering Plastics business.
  • Coordinating pricing related activities with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other internal functions.
  • Analyzing customer and product profitability and driving margin improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of financial related forecasts, raw material cost tracking and forecasting, rebate calculations, and internal pricing lists and documentation.
  • Being responsible for material allocation management and related communications.
  • Supporting or leading projects designed to optimize margin (i.e. - cost reduction, value pricing, freight adjustments, rebate optimization, etc.).
  • Leading pricing initiatives that include price increases, decreases and negotiations.
  • Ensuring compliance and related audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration / interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in data analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerBI, CoPilot).
  • Engineering plastics or financial background (preferred).
