About the role

  • Assistant Manager - Sales focusing on engineering plastics in a leading chemical company. Develop sales strategies and manage customer relationships in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the Engineering Plastics business unit’s target on both sales performance and profit according to the target agreement
  • Support business development and customer management by initiating contacts with existing and new potential customers
  • Provide input for account plan, pricing strategy and market intelligence
  • Conduct and develop the EP business according to the regional strategy and objectives
  • Represent the plastic team as account manager and collaborate with key account manager for business development
  • Implement the sales and marketing directions according to the agreed directions
  • Monitor and review marketing/promotion campaign’s execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline
  • At least 3-5 years of technical sales experience, preferably in engineering plastics, sales, market or application development, or the automotive industry
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering plastics, including technical expertise and relevant applications
  • Experience in tooling, plastics compounding, and application development is highly advantageous
  • Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English, along with computer literacy.
