About the role

  • Account Manager managing top merchants at Payplug, optimizing payment flows and developing business strategies. Collaborating closely with clients to increase satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of top Mid-Market and/or Enterprise merchants;
  • Prepare and lead regular business reviews with client decision-makers (C-level) to assess performance and plan new strategies;
  • Provide personalized support during account setup and activation;
  • Monitor and optimize merchants' payment KPIs;
  • Support merchants in optimizing and growing their sales through Payplug by proposing solutions tailored to their business;
  • Serve as the guarantor of customer satisfaction (notably via NPS) and maximize portfolio retention;
  • Grow portfolio revenue (ramp-up, upsell, contract renegotiation);
  • Contribute to defining and deploying commercial strategies to help the team achieve upsell and retention targets;
  • Work daily to ensure merchant satisfaction and prevent churn through close collaboration with Payplug's Sales, Risk, and Operations teams;
  • Collaborate with Product and Data teams to identify and communicate merchants' evolving requirements;

Requirements

  • You have at least one initial experience (internship or apprenticeship included) in Sales or Account Management (AM), ideally in tech;
  • You can analyze key data and derive actionable insights to optimize client performance;
  • You have a genuine affinity for new technologies (Fintech experience is a plus);
  • You take a business-oriented approach to accounts: growth, upsell and cross-sell will be integral to your role;
  • You can work autonomously in managing your portfolio;
  • You act as a strategic partner to your clients, enabling you to detect weak signals (churn risks) as well as upsell opportunities.
