About the role

  • Head of UK Sales focused on market share growth in payment solutions. Leading a dynamic sales team in the United Kingdom with responsibilities in strategy development and team management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the UK Sales Strategy Development (Acquiring & POS) by tailoring the sales strategy for the UK acquiring market.
  • Identify growth opportunities and key segments to drive market penetration and revenue.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align UK acquiring and POS strategy with global objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, customer needs, and competitor actions to inform decisions.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing UK sales team, ensuring targets are met.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent, ensuring the team is equipped to succeed.
  • Continuously refine and optimize the UK sales process to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Client Success, and Risk internally to ensure sales alignment.
  • Lead efforts to expand payabl.'s acquiring services in the UK, fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all sales operations comply with local regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in the payments and acquiring industry, with a deep understanding of products similar to payabl.'s offerings.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing sales teams, particularly in the UK acquiring market.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute robust sales strategies that drive revenue and market expansion.
  • History of driving significant revenue growth, consistently exceeding targets.
  • A strong leader who can energize teams, foster a high-performance culture, and mentor sales professionals.
  • In-depth understanding of product-market fit within the payments space and the ability to position products effectively.
  • Experience in high-growth environments with a focus on scaling teams and strategies.
  • Strong experience working closely with Marketing, Product, and Client Success teams to align sales strategies.
  • Ability to navigate and lead in fast-paced, evolving industry environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the UK payments market.
