About the role

  • Commercial Lines Account Manager handling a book of 50 commercial clients across various industries at Safegard. Engaging in client service, policy management, and collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate documentation within AMS360 and electronic file systems.
  • Serve as frontline customer service contact, delivering responsive and professional client support.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, carriers, and internal partners.
  • Prepare and maintain client-facing presentations and renewal documents.
  • Participate in and when comfortable, lead virtual and in-person client and carrier meetings.
  • Review new and renewal policies for accuracy and request corrections as needed.
  • Manage billing, premium financing, and non-payment processes.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, and audits; manage associated billing and follow-up.
  • Oversee issuance of Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID Cards.
  • Utilize online carrier systems and rating platforms efficiently.
  • Market new and renewal business, including market selection, quoting, submissions, and coverage analysis.
  • Field initial claims inquiries and guide clients to appropriate carrier channels; assist with claim questions.
  • Delegate and oversee work assigned to Account Analyst team members.
  • Assist in training and development of Account Analyst staff.
  • Collaborate closely with assigned producers and internal team members to drive retention and growth.
  • Take immediate ownership of the book upon hire, operating with autonomy while partnering with the Account Executive.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty License
  • 5+ years of commercial insurance experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of all standard Commercial P&C lines
  • AMS360 experience preferred; power-user proficiency with systems and rating platforms desirable
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and comfort managing complex workflows
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and clients
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • 90-day hands-on training provided during onboarding.
