About the role

  • Head of SEO for fast-growing performance marketing company focusing on iGaming. Manage SEO strategy, execution, and long-term growth of flagship site with hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full SEO lifecycle of one flagship site, from strategy through execution and iteration.
  • Be accountable for rankings, traffic, revenue contribution, and long-term SEO resilience.
  • Define what “good” looks like for the site and drive toward it relentlessly.
  • Define and continuously evolve the SEO strategy for the site, aligned with commercial goals.
  • Set priorities across initiatives based on impact, effort, risk, and long-term value.
  • Design SEO systems that scale: templates, workflows, guardrails, and automation.
  • Orchestrate teams of AI agents to achieve SEO goals across the site.
  • Use our internal AI toolset daily to plan, execute, and scale SEO workflows.
  • Partner with AI Integration Specialists to extend automation, tooling, and feedback loops.
  • Own technical SEO in partnership with developers, including crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, and migrations.
  • Lead keyword strategy, search intent frameworks, internal linking, and on-page optimisation at scale.
  • Anticipate and manage SEO risk during launches, migrations, and structural changes.
  • Monitor rankings, traffic, revenue, and leading indicators of SEO health.
  • Diagnose and respond to performance drops related to algorithm updates, technical issues, or competitive pressure.
  • Act as the senior SEO authority for the flagship site across the organization.
  • Mentor SEO managers and specialists who contribute to the site.
  • Partner with leadership on roadmap planning, investment decisions, and long-term growth strategy.

Requirements

  • Hands-on SEO experience with clear ownership of large or high-value sites.
  • Proven experience scaling competitive websites in iGaming, gambling, or similarly aggressive verticals.
  • Strong SEO foundation, including large-site architecture and complex migrations.
  • Experience managing SEO risk in competitive, fast-moving environments.
  • Comfortable using CLI-based AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) or able to learn rapidly.
  • Experience building or operating AI-assisted SEO workflows.
  • Systems-oriented thinker who designs repeatable, scalable solutions.
  • Strong commercial intuition: understands how SEO decisions translate into revenue.
  • Comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Able to operate independently with minimal oversight.
  • Calm under pressure during traffic drops, algorithm updates, or major launches.
  • Must be based in Malta (or willing to relocate) and work from the office full-time.
  • Legal right to work in Malta is required.
