About the role

  • Senior Manager leading strategic and creative marketing initiatives for North America at OverActive Media. Overseeing a dynamic team to drive audience growth and revenue through innovative campaigns and partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the annual marketing strategy and roadmap for our North American division (including Toronto KOI and ActiveVoices), ensuring priorities and campaigns are directly tied to organizational growth and revenue objectives.
  • Translate brand strategy into compelling content across digital and social channels, maintaining consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging.
  • Develop social and content briefs, campaign concepts, and storytelling approaches aligned with broader business goals.
  • Lead a growth-oriented content and social strategy that builds audience while contributing meaningfully to business outcomes.
  • Ensure organic, paid, and community efforts are aligned under one cohesive, performance-focused strategy.
  • Oversee marketing workflows, timelines, and creative planning to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with company priorities.
  • Manage the marketing budget responsibly, allocating resources for maximum impact and return.
  • Lead marketing strategy and promotion for live events, including tournaments, activations, and community initiatives, with a focus on ticket sales and engagement.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, partnerships, finance, and leadership to ensure alignment and successful execution of campaigns and sponsor commitments.
  • Lead and develop a team of designers, editors, and social media managers, providing clear direction and consistent support.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture built on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and collaborate with freelance video partners, leading the briefing process and overseeing production and edits to ensure high-quality, on-brand output.
  • Monitor performance metrics and use insights to refine strategy and elevate creative impact.
  • Develop and execute monetization strategies across Toronto KOI MTX, driving ongoing performance optimization.
  • Lead the merchandise strategy in partnership with our apparel partner, overseeing design direction, drop timing, and integrated marketing plans to maximize sell-through.
  • Strengthen partner activations through structured marketing plans that enhance delivery and support renewal and upsell conversations.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships team to identify incremental branded content and revenue opportunities.
  • Implement structured reporting and KPIs to track campaign effectiveness, audience growth, and revenue contribution

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, brand, or digital leadership roles, with a track record of driving growth and measurable business results. Experience in gaming, sports, entertainment, consumer brands, or high-growth environments is an asset.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams, setting clear direction, and delivering high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience supporting revenue initiatives such as product launches, merchandise, branded content, or partnership marketing.
  • Experience building marketing plans that connect brand storytelling with audience growth, engagement, and revenue impact.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social platforms and how to use data and analytics to inform decisions and optimize performance.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, vendors, and freelance partners to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with partnerships, operations, finance, and leadership.
  • Familiarity with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Figma is an asset, but hands-on design or editing experience is not required.
