About the role

  • Integration Support Engineer assessing technical impacts of changes in third-party systems at fintech company. Collaborating closely with project teams for successful integration testing readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate change requests—spanning platform upgrades, protocol migrations, and topology adjustments—by quantifying technical impact and rollback risk, defining mitigation steps, securing a jointly endorsed rollout plan with internal and external stakeholders, and consulting the Solution Architect whenever the change requires modifications to the solution design.
  • Compile and convey the configuration and development prerequisites that third‑party systems must deliver for System Integration Testing readiness, liaising directly with their owners.
  • Execute a concise suite of HTTP based API smoke tests (REST, SOAP, RPC etc.), troubleshoot anomalies, and escalate unresolved gaps to third‑party counterparts and the Solution Architect.
  • Draft IAT test cases for execution by Optasia developers, under Solution Architect’s guidance.
  • Maintain clear traceability: update Jira and Confluence records for change requests and for SIT preparations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by converting lessons learned into reusable templates — covering change‑request assessments, SIT readiness checklists, and smoke‑test scripts — so future integrations follow streamlined, standardised practices.
  • Transition smoothly from ISE to Associate Solution Architect once you demonstrate design aptitude and business acumen.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years in system integration, API testing, technical support, or QA (fintech/telco a plus)
  • Solid grasp of REST/SOAP, HTTP, JSON/XML; hands-on with Postman, SoapUI, or cURL
  • Comfort with network basics (IPs, ports, TLS, credentials)
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Fluent written and spoken English for clear communication with international stakeholders
  • Detail oriented, proactive communicator able to juggle parallel projects

Benefits
