About the role

  • Key Account Manager driving business growth for OPENLANE through new customer acquisition and partnership enhancement in Belgium. Focusing on the automotive industry and B2B client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business by prospecting, cold calling, and visiting high-value clients such as car traders, dealers, and fleet owners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers to ensure loyalty and long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed individual and team targets.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring win-win solutions for customers and the company.
  • Onboard and nurture clients, including winning back lost customers and providing exceptional service throughout the relationship.
  • Analyze customer needs and market trends, using tools like CRM (Salesforce) to track interactions and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering product information, solutions, and support while representing the company professionally in the field.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of sales experience in the automotive industry, preferably in remarketing or used vehicles.
  • Fluent in Dutch and French, with good English communication skills. Any additional European language is a plus.
  • You have a strong sales mindset, enjoy meeting and exceeding targets, and are energized by achieving results.
  • You combine excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
  • You are an active listener who understands clients’ needs and provides smart, tailored solutions.
  • You take initiative, thrive in a dynamic environment, and are result-driven.
  • You are analytical, able to identify opportunities to grow customer value.
  • You work independently, manage your own territory, and organize tasks effectively.
  • You hold a valid driver’s license and are willing to travel within your region.
  • You have good knowledge of MS 365, familiarity with Salesforce and Excel is a plus.
