About the role

  • Manage technical standards and lead teams for Riedel technology in the motorsport segment. Oversee communication infrastructures and coordinate systems for significant racing events.

Responsibilities

  • Hold overall responsibility for the technical management and standards for RIEDEL technology within the motorsport segment
  • Support the development and innovation of our technical standards for one of our largest projects
  • Plan, implement, and operate communications, signaling, and intercom infrastructures for all racing events
  • Coordinate and technically integrate RIEDEL systems
  • Monitor system performance, analyze faults, and troubleshoot issues quickly during events
  • Provide disciplinary leadership for the on-site technician team during series operations
  • Develop and implement onboarding strategies and training programs
  • Participate in budget and workforce planning
  • Manage employee development and performance
  • Oversee technical preparations, tests, and approvals before the season start and throughout the series
  • Facilitate coordination between engineering, project management, and the experts team
  • Plan resources, shift schedules, and global deployment of teams

Requirements

  • Technical degree in media technology, communications engineering, IT, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in a senior technical management or project management role, ideally in international live events or broadcast environments
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience encompassing both technical and disciplinary responsibilities
  • Deep knowledge of IP-based networks, intercom systems, broadcast technologies, and signal distribution
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, international contexts
  • Proven experience in guiding and motivating project teams
  • Willingness to travel worldwide
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
