About the role

  • Business Development Manager exploring NMR opportunities in China while managing a sales team and supporting distributors. Requires solid experience in NMR technology and high tech instrument sales.

Responsibilities

  • Explore NMR opportunities in both industrial and academic markets
  • Manage NMR business by matrix management
  • Prepare forecast NMR business with accuracy regularly
  • Mentor, coach and train sales members on all details of sale process
  • Manage and support distributor and enable their sales personnel to sell NMR
  • Identify and engage with key customer accounts
  • Provide ongoing and timely strategic market input for business opportunities in China
  • Create a system for prompt and efficient follow-up on new inquiries
  • Identify and maintain good customer relationships with KOLs
  • Attend conferences and workshops as necessary
  • Deliver proper marketing materials
  • Provide regular training to related sales/application/distributors

Requirements

  • Relevant material science degree essential
  • At least 5 years of experience in high tech instrument sales and business management
  • Proven solid experience in NMR technology and market
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability for cross cultural communication
  • Strong English skills are important
  • Must be prepared and able to travel and stay overseas as required without restriction, subject to normal visa requirements
  • Clean driving license
  • Commercially astute
