About the role

  • Senior Manager for Deal Excellence at Johnson & Johnson, transforming deal management in Orthopaedics through innovation and efficiency. Leading development of tools and processes for compliant and profitable deal execution.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain deal management tools (e.g., CPQ systems, pricing calculators, approval workflows)
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to integrate tools into CRM and ERP platforms for seamless user experience
  • Drive adoption of tools through training, documentation, and ongoing support
  • Analyze current deal workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Develop standardized processes for pricing, approvals, and contract execution
  • Implement automation and digital solutions to reduce manual effort and accelerate deal cycle times
  • Establish clear approval matrices and guardrails for deal structuring
  • Ensure compliance with pricing policies, discount thresholds, and contractual standards
  • Work closely with Key Account Management, Offer Development, Finance, Legal, HCC, and Operations to align on deal strategy and execution
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on deal tools and processes, providing guidance and best practices
  • Facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to continuously improve deal excellence initiatives
  • Define KPIs for tool utilization, process efficiency, and deal turnaround times
  • Provide insights and dashboards to leadership on deal performance and process improvements
  • Recommend enhancements based on data-driven analysis and stakeholder feedback

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field is required.
  • An MBA and/or an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years combined experience in Finance, Pricing, Contracting, Marketing, Commercial Leadership, HEMA or related business experience
  • Minimum of 3 years working in Orthopaedics
  • Proven experience in process optimization and tool implementation (CRM, CPQ, workflow automation)
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management, and change management skills
  • Experience in building scalable commercial processes in a global organization (preferred)
  • Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives and automation technologies (preferred)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (preferred)
  • Financial acumen, with an understanding business models and monetization strategy (preferred)
  • Proven experience in challenging the status quo, thinking differently and challenging cultural norms (preferred)
  • Ability to influence others and create alignment in a multi-stakeholder environment (preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage through constructive conflict (preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize and to successfully manage multiple projects/priorities (preferred)
