Responsibilities
Manages the day-to-day operations of centralized dispatch within a Market Area.
Establishes and implements guidelines, which maximize unit cost management while growing the business through reinforcing efficient driver performance.
Assists in meeting Area and Districts residential, commercial, and roll off efficiency goals.
Communicates roll off capacity to districts.
Ensures district rosters are reported to central dispatch daily.
Develops, implements, and maintains processes, procedures, and programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the site.
Maintains and understands Service Machine standards.
Runs daily Service Machine reports to verify recovery and carryover percentages.
Delivers verbal and written disciplinary action to employees when necessary.
Conducts performance reviews for employees using the PDS process and other appropriate performance management tools.
Recruits, selects, hires and ensures training of dispatch employees.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience.
Five (5) years of relevant work experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry and two plus (2+) years of supervisory or management experience (in addition to education requirement).
Valid Driver's License required.
Proficient in the following software: Resource Center, OCSD, and MAS.
