About the role

  • Category Manager for Instrumentation & Controls at Nutrien, focusing on safety and supplier engagement. Drives strategies for operationalizing category management and implementing risk mitigation plans.

Responsibilities

  • Model core value of safety by leading and enabling a culture in which you and your team are actively contributing to a safe work environment
  • Partner with Senior Manager, Category Management, Engineered & Electrical Equipment and stakeholders to develop/manage category strategies for the Instrumentation & Controls
  • Responsible for partnering with sites to operationalize results and manage/direct a comprehensive change management strategy across the sites
  • Drive frequent site engagement with Procurement managers to collect business requirements for sub-categories, site-specific risks and opportunities
  • Coach Category Analysts to develop category/spend analytics and market insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar discipline
  • 8+ years relevant experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, project management, engineering, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with Instrumentation, Controls & Automation category sourcing activities, including capital projects and turnarounds
  • Analytical abilities and experience using quantitative insights to make decisions and influence stakeholders
