  • Administrative Hearing Officer conducting hearings for the Department of Children & Families, ensuring legal requirements fulfillment and decision creation based on case facts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct administrative hearings related to the Department of Children & Families.
  • Administer oaths and establish proof required of the parties.
  • Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of various programs and pertinent statutes.
  • Prepare written decisions based on case facts and law application.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 4 or more years of experience as a Hearing Officer.
  • Experience making eligibility determinations for applicants of public assistance.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in public assistance programs.
  • Knowledge of writing and effective communication skills.
