Responsibilities
Join Team Duval at DOH-Duval, working to protect, promote, and improve community health.
Serve as the agency's Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator managing QI initiatives.
Coordinate, support, and evaluate departmental QI projects from planning through completion.
Apply POCA/PDSA methodology and monitor performance metrics.
Document QI activities and prepare reports for leadership and community partners.
Facilitate discussions and collaborative sessions across multiple locations.
Assist with workforce development and training related to QI activities.
Requirements
At least two years of experience independently leading or co-leading quality improvement projects beyond coursework or certification requirements.
At least two years of experience facilitating structured discussions in a professional environment, such as guiding multidisciplinary roundtables, presenting data or findings to stakeholders, or coordinating collaborative team sessions.
At least two years of professional experience writing reports containing technical information (e.g. community health assessment, progress reports, QI project storyboards, abstracts, etc.).
Certification in areas such as Project Management Professional; Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality; and/or Lean Six Sigma (i.e. Black belt).
A bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, quality assurance, business administration or a related field from an accredited college or university – or - at least four years of related work experience as described.
