About the role
- Provide customer service support for Florida KidCare applications and outreach activities. Engage with community organizations and assist families in Broward County with their inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by answering the 954-INSURES line to assist consumers with the Florida KidCare application process
- Serve as the local source of customer service information for community-based organizations and consumers in Broward County
- Distribute Florida KidCare materials to community organizations, schools, childcare providers, places of business and civic leaders
- Assist in stocking and having readily available large quantities of all Florida KidCare materials
- Attend community events and provide educational presentations to the community about the Florida KidCare Program
- Update database and electronic logs by typing in data for incoming calls, client services, applications submitted, events attended, and materials distributed
Requirements
- A valid driver's license, free of major infractions
- Minimum of three (3) years of customer service experience over the phone or in person
- Experience conducting community outreach
- Able to work evenings and weekends as determined by program needs
- Experience facilitating community presentations (preferred)
- Experience working with Federal Eligibility Programs (preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (preferred)
- Experience working with social service programs (preferred)
- Bilingual, fluent in English/Spanish or English/Creole (preferred)
