About the role
- Human Resources Consultant leading HR initiatives and compliance in Peru for MineSense, a mining technology company. Responsible for implementation and project support in HR operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the People (Human Resources) Team to deliver targeted HR projects aligned with operational needs across Peru.
- Lead the implementation of a regional time and attendance system, including vacation and leave tracking, ensuring compliance with local labour regulations.
- Develop and roll out a teleworking policy addendum, including clear guidelines and the setup of new allowance processes.
- Update and streamline HR documentation and employee handbooks to reflect new policies and practices.
- Support successful project execution through rollout planning, employee communication, and training initiatives.
- Ensure all project initiatives are aligned with company values, culture, and legal requirements in Peru.
- Review other areas of compliance in Peru and advise on best practice.
- Support other time-bound HR initiatives as identified during the project period.
Requirements
- 7+ years progressive SENIOR HR experience while working in a technology and/or mining industry would be beneficial.
- Previous experience with HR policies, compliance, project execution and communication.
- Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organizational development, and safety.
- Employment law knowledge in Peru.
- Understanding of HR tech tools related to time tracking and leave management.
- Ability to work independently with defined goals and timelines.
- Excellent Spanish written and oral communication skills.
- A great grasp of the English language (written and oral) is required.
- Demonstrated ability to guide and lead.
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the South American management team.
