Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of a high volume and dynamic accounts payable department
Responsible for full cycle account payable process to include 3-way matching, invoice processing, vendor account reconciliation and timely payment processing
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Shermco vendors and internal customers
Ensure that financial deadlines are met, and that customer service is provided to all internal stakeholders
Must be comfortable leveraging technology including automation in the AP space to drive operational efficiency
Monitor Vendor accounts and ensure that any discrepancies are identified and resolve
Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Train, develop and motivate the Accounts Payable team
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
5+ years of accounts payable experience preferred
2+ years of Proven experience supervising AP staff and managing processes
Any experience managing a technology upgrade is highly desirable
Must have experience working in a fast-paced high-volume environment,
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience building and documenting processes
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office to include use of VLook ups, IF Statements and pivot tables.
