Business Development Manager responsible for managing Corporate and MICE accounts in France for Meliá Hotels. Focused on revenue generation and client relationships in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage a portfolio of key Business Travel (BT) and MICE accounts in France
Identify and cultivate new high-potential accounts across both segments for all hotels
Lead Corporate RFPs: qualify opportunities, coordinate pricing with hotels, and negotiate on behalf of the entire portfolio
Proactively manage all MICE enquiries, ensuring rapid, conversion-focused responses aligned with Meliá standards
Build strong, trust-based commercial relationships with stakeholders such as Travel Managers, TMCs, agency directors and project managers
Grow production from the assigned portfolio, monitor performance and achieve established revenue targets
Prepare a tailored commercial action plan aligned with the needs of the hotels
Collaborate with hotel sales teams and Business Development Managers in other countries to drive portfolio growth
Attend trade shows and sales representations in France and abroad
Monitor market trends and contribute analyses and recommendations to strengthen Meliá's brand visibility and reputation
Requirements
Significant experience within a hotel sales department (property or corporate office) or an events agency
Proven experience managing key accounts in the Business Travel and MICE segments
Fluency in French and English required; Spanish is a strong advantage
Strong results orientation, initiative and commitment
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
