- Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager leading sourcing processes across LATAM for Medtronic. Focusing on logistics and supply chain strategies to enhance healthcare access and equity.
Responsibilities
- Managing the end-to-end sourcing process across the LATAM region for Supply Chain categories
- Identify and nurture talent
- Create value across ~$150M in annual indirect spend in the region
- Engage and influence multiple stakeholders to adopt and implement strategies
- Work independently and build strategic relationships with key suppliers
- Develop and implement strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage
- Achieve (year-on-year) value improvements for all aspects of quality, service, innovation, cost
- Perform RF(x) events to drive competitive pressure and ensure maximum value
- Lead contract negotiations
- Provide stakeholders with a balanced view of contract risk and liabilities
- Build multi-year (at least 2 years) pipeline to support planning process
- Assist in Supplier Stratification activities
- Gather Market Intelligence and trends for relevant categories
- Gather internal and external benchmarks in a systematic manner to support sourcing efforts
- Recommend solutions to business problems and/or identify opportunities for improvement
- Follow governance processes and Purchasing Controls systems to ensure compliance
- Educate and train stakeholders on key indirect supply management initiatives and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ten years of relevant experience in Logistics Sourcing or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Logistics Sourcing
- Prior experience in Supply Chain & Logistics or Logistics Sourcing
- Prior leadership experience
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Strong negotiating skills and training
- Knowledge using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Knowledge of working in FDA regulated industries
- Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is advantageous
- Understanding of underlying economics of Supply Chain
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerBI is advantageous
