About the role
- Supports McKesson's innovation strategy by managing innovation projects and cross-functional teams. Tracking milestones and delivering pilots, proofs of concepts, and minimum viable products.
Responsibilities
- Manage the tactical execution of innovation initiatives from concept through pilot and MVP delivery
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
- Track progress against milestones and proactively identify risks or delays
- Ensure documentation and reporting of project outcomes and learnings
- Help build business cases justifying investments in and returns from individual innovation initiatives
- Facilitate collaboration across product, strategy, operations, analytics, and technical teams
- Schedule and lead working sessions, stand-ups, and stakeholder updates
- Serve as the central point of contact for assigned innovation projects
- Ensure alignment between business needs and technical feasibility
- Apply structured innovation frameworks such as design thinking, lean startup, and agile delivery
- Prepare and deliver clear communications to internal stakeholders regarding project status, outcomes, and next steps
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent
- Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in product, venture, innovation, strategy, or program management roles
- Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with digital product development and agile delivery practices
- Exposure to healthcare or regulated industries preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Working knowledge of innovation tools and frameworks
- Proficiency in collaboration platforms (e.g., Miro, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet)
