About the role

  • Lead Principal Product Designer driving user experience in an innovative B2B engineering company. Collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to reshape workflows and enhance customer trust.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Experience Strategy: You define the end-to-end vision for our most critical workflows (starting with Pricing). You move beyond "screens" to design behavioral loops - from Onboarding to First Success to Habit - ensuring customers adopt our solution consistently with minimal training.
  • Make Trust Tangible: In an AI-driven environment, trust is the product. You will design the "trust vocabulary" of our system - establishing how we communicate confidence intervals, risk tradeoffs, and data transparency so users understand not just what to do, but why they should trust the recommendation.
  • Tackle the "Hard Problems": You personally take on the most ambiguous and complex design challenges. You shape the decision-making workflows where governance and high-consequence actions intersect, providing patterns and principles that enable the rest of the team to move fast.
  • Drive Adoption via Insight-to-Action: You own experience-oriented analytics. You partner with PMs to convert behavioral signals into roadmap changes, ensuring that design decisions are driven by evidence and focused on reducing time-to-value.
  • Shape the Future Product Portfolio: You are a key strategist in deciding "what's next." Through deep user research and "day-in-the-life" analysis, you will identify adjacent problem spaces and help define the strategy for new workspaces, ensuring we expand based on genuine user needs.
  • Champion the Customer: You maintain a direct line to our users. You validate workflows, test hypotheses, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to act as the continuous, evidence-based voice of the customer within the leadership team

Requirements

  • Strategic Seniority: You have significant experience (Senior/Principal level) in Product Design within complex B2B Enterprise SaaS or Decision-Intelligence environments.
  • Outcome over Output: You don't measure success by the number of features shipped, but by adoption depth, time-to-value, and customer retention.
  • Complexity Wrangler: You thrive in ambiguity. You know how to take heavy data sets and complex logical flows and simplify them into intuitive, human-centric narratives.
  • Visual & System Thinker: You can zoom out to design the architecture of a multi-workspace platform, and zoom in to perfect the micro-interactions that build trust.
  • Data Fluency: You are comfortable looking at retention cohorts and usage funnels. You use data to prove your design thesis.
  • Leadership without Authority: You know how to influence roadmaps and align stakeholders (PM, Eng, C-Level) through compelling storytelling and irrefutable user evidence.
  • You are fluent in German and English.

Benefits

  • Inspiring Team Culture: Enjoy regular team events, modern downtown Chicago offices, and a dynamic work environment that fosters innovation and collaboration.
  • Flexible Working Hours: Enjoy the freedom to design your workday with flexible hours and a hybrid work option, allowing you to balance time between home and our vibrant downtown Chicago office.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: Recharge with 25 paid vacation days each year to relax, explore, or focus on personal growth.
  • Sick Leave: We care about your health and well-being. In alignment with Chicago’s Paid Sick Leave Ordinance, you will receive 5 day of sick time per year to be used.
  • Transit Benefits: Simplify your commute with our Transit Benefits Program, which provides subsidies for public transportation.
  • Divvy Annual Subscription: Love a green commute? Enjoy a free Divvy bike share subscription, making it easy and eco-friendly to get around.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: We offer premium medical plans, including dental, vision, and life insurance, so you can focus on what matters most.
  • Financial Support: Benefit from a 5% 401(k) match and an annual Learning and Development budget to support your professional growth.
  • Supportive Parental Leave: Take advantage of 3 months of paid parental leave to be there for your loved ones when they need it the most.
