Senior Financial Analyst responsible for financial reporting and analysis at Manulife, contributing to finance transformation initiatives and operational improvements.
Responsibilities
Prepare standard financial reports for both internal and external use each month and quarter
Ensure the data is accurate and of high quality
Provide commentary on variances and key figures at month-end
Conduct relevant analysis with commentary, engage with various teams, and develop reports to respond to ad-hoc queries
Contribute to operational improvements and participate in special projects to advance service excellence and best-in-class capabilities
Identify and implement continuous financial operational improvements to enhance the timeliness and integrity of financial reporting and data
Foster strong relationships with Operating Segment teams and other functional areas, promoting a collaborative "work as one" culture
Assist with workflow process analysis, transformation initiatives, and ensure excellent customer service by promoting client centricity
Requirements
University degree in accounting, finance, or business management and or recognized accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA or CA is a plus)
5 years or more of progressive experience in Finance within a large multinational organization
Strong business sense with ability to communicate financial concepts and results in a clear, concise, easy to understand manner (verbal & written)
Proficiency with MS Applications (including Office & Power BI) particularly MS Excel
Knowledge of Essbase/Smartview and Infor (or other enterprise finance applications) is an asset
