Senior Financial Analyst managing financial reporting and analysis for investment management in US and Canadian subsidiaries. Overseeing audits and revenue billing for Private Markets.
Responsibilities
Lead the monthly/quarterly preparation of financial statements, CFO and Board of Directors reporting packages, and disclosures for a number of US and Canadian subsidiaries
Oversight of financial statement preparation and coordination of annual external audits for US and Canadian subsidiaries
Revenue & billing for Private Markets
Prepare/Review journal entries (manual or system-driven), oversee invoice process, and monitor trending for intercompany and third-party clients, including review or trending for accuracy and completeness
Review and prepare journal entries from Partner Capital Account Statements (PCAPs) for private market general partners and limited partners
Review/approve wire requests for routine and non-routine intercompany payments and third-party transactions
Assist with carried interest dashboard and accruals
Provide prompt and accurate service to setup and evaluate the financial reporting implications of new products and initiatives
Prepare memos and supporting documentation for accounting policy changes and dividend projections and communicate to all stakeholders
Requirements
University Business Degree and working towards a CPA designation
General understanding of IFRS and US GAAP
3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial services and/or consulting firm with experience in the public and private investment management industry reporting would be an asset
Experience with financial reporting tools such as Infor/Lawson, Oracle Smart View, accounting units (1Stop, 1Exp, EPO, 1KFM) and cost centers a strong plus
Proactive and effective at meeting tight deadlines, multitasking, and adapting to changes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS office tools (e.g. Word and PowerPoint to develop reports, documents and presentations)
Energetic and having strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
