About the role

  • Secretary handling Workers' Compensation legal files in Woodland Hills, California. Responsible for transcribing dictation, preparing legal documents, and communicating with outside parties.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all assignments related to the legal handling of the file
  • Transcribe and/or format and process dictation
  • Schedule exams, including preparing addendums and confirming attendance
  • Prepare legal documents in accordance with WCAB and EAMS procedures
  • Handle tasks assigned and update files with new information
  • Communicate with outside parties to complete assignments
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain client and firm reports
  • Handle tasks related to the file as requested including subpoenaing of records and file closures

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in Workers’ Compensation handling tasks as outlined
  • Detail oriented
  • Professional demeanor and phone etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Clear and concise communication skills
