Responsibilities
Own Lyka’s technology strategy and roadmap across all functions, tightly aligned with company mission and growth goals
Shape a scalable, future-proof architecture with international expansion and new product lines at the forefront
Stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies and translate them into competitive advantage for Lyka
Serve as a key member of the executive team, working closely with the CEO, COO/CFO, and other leaders on company-wide strategy, commercial planning, and culture
Hands-on leadership of the Engineering team delivering features at high velocity without sacrificing quality
Partner with Product and Design to build exceptional digital experiences for Lyka’s customers
Drive operational digital transformation across fulfilment, customer care, and the supply chain
Champion a data-led decision-making culture across the entire organisation
Oversee end-to-end data processes capture, transformation, modelling, reporting, standards, and governance
Work closely with the Data leader to ensure every team has access to the insights they need to move faster and smarter
Drive data literacy and access at all levels of the business
Oversee onsite IT and OT support across all Sydney and Melbourne sites
Strengthen Lyka’s cybersecurity posture through robust policies, standards, and team training
Ensure all devices, systems, and tools are safely maintained, up-to-date, and set up for performance
Build, coach, and inspire best-in-class teams across Engineering, Data, and IT fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement
Foster transparency, psychological safety, and a high-performance environment where people do their best work
Champion cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and Operations
Requirements
Proven technology leader with 10+ years of experience, including senior/ executive leadership in high-growth environments
Expertise across Engineering, Data and IT - with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
Strong data centricity and commercial acumen, able to work with complex and ambiguous data with a strong understanding of business levers
Comfortable operating strategically and tactically - can zoom out to shape strategy and zoom in to problem-solve with teams
Thrives in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, energised by building
Track record of hiring, coaching, and retaining high-performing talent in technology teams
Previous experience working with founders is a plus
Passionate about Lyka’s mission to improve the healthspan of pets, with a deep personal connection to our vision of changing the status quo for pet wellness
