About the role

  • People Operations Specialist managing HR systems, recruitment, and employee lifecycle processes at Liferaft. Supporting team engagement, compliance, and organizational improvements in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage HR systems (BambooHR, Workable, Pave), including configuration, reporting, process improvements, and maintaining clear documentation to support scalable, consistent operations
  • Streamline workflows using automation and AI to reduce manual effort across onboarding and reporting
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records and ensure compliance with ISO, SOC2, OH&S, and applicable legislation, partnering closely with InfoSec
  • Maintain and update policies and support audit requirements
  • Manage key programs including benefits administration, leave, performance review cycles, and annual compensation processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
  • Partner with hiring managers to run full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate management, interviews, and offer preparation.
  • Own end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transitions, and offboarding, ensuring a consistent, clear and compliant experience.
  • Lead the internal events strategy, owning the annual calendar and budget, and delivering in-person and remote events from planning through execution.
  • Drive employee engagement through programs, events, and feedback channels, using survey insights (eNPS, pulse) to identify and implement improvements
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for:
  • employee and manager inquiries, providing timely and accurate P&C support
  • office operations, including facilities, supplies, and workplace safety.
  • Represent People & Culture on the DEI Committee, supporting initiatives and events.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in HR or People Operations, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated experience with HRIS and ATS admin (BambooHR & Workable preferred)
  • Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Experience managing compliance processes (ISO, OH&S) and policy administration
  • Strong ability to work independently and effectively across Google Workspace and Slack
  • Experience supporting event planning and office operations preferred
  • Proactive and resourceful, identifies gaps and applies critical thinking to implement effective solutions
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and prioritization abilities
  • Professional discretion and commitment to confidentiality
  • Clear communicator, comfortable engaging with all levels of the business
  • Ability to create structure and clarity during periods of change
