About the role

  • Virtual Sales Representative engaging with members for loan applications and financial needs at Leaders Credit Union. Providing professional service while maintaining member account information and identifying cross-sell opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Handles loan applications that come through our online portal as well as through phone
  • Engages with members and seeks to understand their financial needs while actively sharing options using plain language, building rapport, and handling objections
  • Refers ancillary products that would benefit each member
  • Provides prompt, accurate, courteous, and professional service at all times
  • Works directly with the underwriting department to step our members through the lending process
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities for all credit union products that can best fit the member's needs
  • Accurately maintain member account information

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of sales or banking experience
  • A two-year college degree or applicable specialized training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Must maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers
  • Must have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • This position has significant work over the phone
  • Listening skills, documenting skills and organizational skills are a requirement
  • Must be self-motivated and driven
  • Must be comfortable receiving ongoing performance feedback and coaching
