About the role

  • Engineering Project Manager shepherding embedded technology advancements at Kontron Canada. Leading project teams in diverse sectors, ensuring innovative solutions from inception to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and manage all activities and deliverables with your project team following PDP (Product Development Process) to release new products within cost, schedule, quality and scope
  • Drive technical feasibility including: optimal project schedules, development costs, product costs and other information that will be used for business case and project approval
  • Ensure the development, management and continuous improvement of project management methodologies
  • Actively manage and coordinate project risk assessment and mitigation activities
  • Ensure effective communication with the various project stakeholders, including clients
  • Calculate, document and publish key performance indicators and project dashboards
  • Coordinate the definition of new R&D projects as part of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) requests in collaboration with Program Managers and the Product Management team
  • All other related tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Ideally more than 5 years of experience in Project Management
  • Management of multidisciplinary teams
  • Agile methodology (SCRUM and others)
  • Customer requirements management
  • KPIs
  • Subcontractor management
  • Experience in an environment of development and integration of systems
  • Knowledge of Avionics norms like RTCA/DO-160G, Aircraft Certifications (STCs), ARINC Standards, agency authorities such as FAA/EASA/CAAC is an asset
  • Functional English is required due to various multidisciplinary tasks including communications with customers, the corporate and sister companies in the Kontron group.
