Senior Commercial Leader at KingMakers defining and executing pan-African affiliate marketing strategy. Managing a growing team and driving commercial outcomes across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
Define and execute KingMakers' pan-African affiliate strategy, aligned to group acquisition and profitability objectives.
Lead go-to-market for new market launches, including Zambia and future territories: building scalable programs from scratch.
Own affiliate budgets and channel-level performance across all live and future markets.
Design, negotiate and optimize commercial models including Net Revenue Share, CPA, Hybrid, Tenancy and bespoke structures aligned to LTV, CAC and margin targets.
Negotiate and close high-value, strategic tier-1 affiliate partnerships.
Work autonomously to structure and approve deals, escalating only where legal or structural nuances require input.
Manage, coach and develop two affiliate specialists (one in Nigeria, one in South Africa) helping them execute the strategy across their respective markets.
Build a high-performance team culture with clear KPI ownership and accountability.
Hire additional affiliate talent as the program scales.
Establish best-in-class onboarding, reporting, tracking and operational processes.
Drive data-led decision-making across acquisition volumes, ROI, CAC, LTV and contribution margin.
Own and optimize the group's affiliate platform, influencing the product roadmap where required.
Ensure regulatory compliance across markets in partnership with Legal and Compliance.
Represent KingMakers at pan-African and international affiliate conferences and industry events.
Requirements
8-10+ years in affiliate marketing, ideally within iGaming or multi-territory sports betting.
Proven track record managing affiliate programs across multiple markets simultaneously: one size does not fit all, and you know it.
Experience at a multi-territory operator (if you come from the industry is a strong advantage).
You understand consolidated commercial arrangements and group-level affiliate relationships.
Experience owning budgets and channel-level performance targets.
Experience building and leading affiliate teams across jurisdictions.
Deep expertise in affiliate commercial models: Net Revenue Share, CPA, Hybrid, Tenancy and bespoke structures.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex, high-value commercial agreements.
Data-driven decision-maker with strong financial acumen: you live in the numbers and you know how to report them up.
Ability to align commercial structures to long-term LTV, CAC and margin objectives.
A roll-up-your-sleeves leader: you get into the detail with your team until they don't need you to anymore.
Proactive communicator: you identify issues before they're raised, come with solutions, and give stakeholders the 'why' behind the numbers.
Autonomous decision-maker: you know what good looks like, you move with speed, and you escalate selectively.
High commercial gravitas: you can hold the room with a tier-1 partner and represent KingMakers credibly at an international conference.
Entrepreneurial mindset: you're comfortable with ambiguity, emerging markets, and building where the infrastructure isn't perfect.
Willingness to travel for key conferences and partner engagement.
