About the role

  • (Senior) Marketplace Manager Amazon responsible for strategic operations and growth for European markets. Collaborating with marketing and product management teams to enhance Amazon presence and performance.

Responsibilities

  • As (Senior) Marketplace Manager, Amazon you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of our Amazon business in Germany and additional European marketplaces.
  • In this key role you will combine analytical thinking with operational excellence to ensure sustainable growth, increased sales and strong brand presence on Amazon.
  • You will work closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Product Management and Supply Chain, as well as external partners, acting as the central point of contact for Amazon.
  • End-to-end strategic and operational management of our Amazon Vendor business (Vendor Central) in Germany and other EU marketplaces.
  • Revenue, forecasting and P&L responsibility including sales and demand planning in close coordination with Supply Chain and Amazon.
  • Analysis and management of relevant KPIs (sell-in, sell-out, availability, contribution margin, conversion rate, ROAS, etc.) for continuous performance optimization.
  • Assortment management on Amazon: selection, launch, maintenance and optimization of the product portfolio, including Buy Box, pricing and availability management.
  • Responsibility for Amazon retail readiness: product data quality, A+ Content, Brand Store, SEO-optimized listings and international content rollouts.
  • Planning, execution and optimization of Amazon Advertising campaigns (e.g., Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display) in collaboration with internal or external partners.
  • Close collaboration with Amazon Vendor Managers and negotiation management for terms, promotions and marketing activities.
  • Conduct market, competitor and customer analyses to identify growth opportunities and new business potential.
  • Management and optimization of process-oriented interfaces between Product Management, Marketing, Logistics, IT and Finance.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, E‑Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the Amazon environment, ideally as an Amazon Vendor Manager or in a comparable role.
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central, ideally complemented by experience with Amazon Advertising and content optimization.
  • Highly developed analytical skills and experience in KPI-driven management and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience in forecasting, sales and revenue planning and working with complex reporting.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills when dealing with internal stakeholders and Amazon contacts.
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
  • High level of personal responsibility, structured working style and a strong understanding of scalable processes and growth.
