About the role

  • Field Service Engineer managing VELYS Robotics in hospitals within Central Germany. Responsible for system installation, maintenance, and customer relationship management in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Support a national team responsible for VRAS (VELYS Robotic‑Assisted Solution).
  • Commissioning of robotic systems in hospitals
  • Corrective maintenance, fault troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis to minimize downtime
  • On‑site service and regular maintenance of robotic systems
  • Coordinate with customers and service coordinators to plan and execute preventive and corrective actions, as well as service bulletins
  • Act as administrative and technical interface to the customer to maintain the relationship
  • Use diagnostic software and continuously develop troubleshooting skills; provide feedback to product/engineering
  • Attend regional conferences and workshops on medical devices
  • Independently manage calendar and travel planning to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Support service contract renewals in cooperation with Sales
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify leads and communicate customer‑satisfaction issues
  • Manage and control field inventory, tools, test equipment, technical documentation and assigned devices
  • Complete and document assigned work orders; maintain customer contacts

Requirements

  • Completed training in electrical engineering, a technical degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with medical devices/robotics desirable but not required
  • Knowledge of electrical testing requirements; advantageous: understanding of hospital workflows, organizational structure and key stakeholders
  • Fluent German and good written and spoken English
  • High flexibility and approx. 80% travel availability within the region; availability for emergency call‑outs
