About the role

  • Educational Policy Analyst conducting research and creating educational materials at Instituto Unibanco. Focused on analysis and organization of public educational data in Brazil.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare research and briefing materials for opinion pieces from an educational policy perspective;
  • Assist in producing institutional materials for Instituto Unibanco initiatives;
  • Interpret and synthesize findings from research and evaluations across different scientific fields for article writing;
  • Access, organize, and analyze public datasets to produce diagnostics on public education systems;
  • Support the drafting and review of texts to disseminate research and evaluations as articles, policy papers, and/or instructional materials (guides, booklets, manuals, etc.);
  • Support the design and development of quantitative research aimed at testing hypotheses within the logic models of educational projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or related fields;
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Public Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or related fields (preferred);
  • Strong experience in research and the use of quantitative research and evaluation methodologies;
  • Knowledge of social and educational indicators with a focus on producing diagnostics of inequality;
  • Strong analytical and writing skills;
  • Familiarity with software for handling datasets (e.g., Stata or R) (desirable);
  • Experience managing research projects (desirable).
