About the role

  • Gestionnaire – événements orchestrating corporate events to support business sales at Tourisme Montréal. Collaborating with sales and membership teams for successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Team Lead – Business Events, you will be responsible for developing and orchestrating event initiatives aligned with the specific objectives of the business sales market
  • You will work closely with the sales team and the Membership team to ensure the success of projects
  • Propose an annual plan for the development and execution of event initiatives related to the mandates of the Business Sales Directorate
  • Select venues for these events
  • Coordinate and follow up with vendors
  • Ensure smooth operations, clear communication and proper execution of initiatives with vendors and partners
  • Supervise the design and production of related materials while respecting the budget allocated to these initiatives
  • Contribute to the analysis of sales results and identify the strategies required to meet objectives
  • Prepare and present strategic campaign briefings in collaboration with the Manager, Marketing Liaison and Partnerships, and ensure follow-ups
  • Evaluate the outcomes of activities to improve the Business Campaign
  • Plan and implement sales activities during events related to the Business Campaign, including Signature events, familiarization tours, sales booths and other corporate events
  • Maintain excellent business relationships with all departments of Tourisme Montréal and with partners
  • Control budgets and allocate expenses assigned to each activity
  • Participate in monthly budget follow-up meetings
  • Stay alert to opportunities, trends, research, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or equivalent
  • Five years or more of project management experience
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written)
  • Experience in budget management
  • Excellent project management skills

  • Knowledge of corporate and association market trends
