About the role

  • Conseiller juridique stratégique au sein des Services juridiques pour la protection des renseignements personnels au Canada. Fournissant des conseils stratégiques en matière de cybersécurité et réglementaire.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key resource within Legal Services
  • Provide strategic and business-focused legal advice
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s legal needs
  • Lead and coordinate legal support for incident response
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate legislative and regulatory trends
  • Provide legal support for the implementation of policies
  • Align legal approaches across Canada and the United States
  • Collaborate with other Practice Leads
  • Participate in various industry meetings and forums

Requirements

  • Law degree (LL.B.)
  • Member in good standing of a provincial bar association
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience related to privacy protection
  • Ability to influence and build trusted relationships
  • Strong industry network and contacts
  • Natural leadership with excellent organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in English
