About the role

  • Regional Merchant Sales Leader responsible for managing a high-performing sales team closely with banking partners. Focused on executing effective sales strategies to drive revenue in the regional business banking channel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a high-performing sales team that works closely with branches and business banking partners to execute on effective sales strategies that are focused on the regional/business banking channel.
  • Deliver revenue targets according to sales plan, providing accurate, timely and consistent sales reporting.
  • Coaching, developing, and motivating the sales staff.
  • Driving client-deal closures and ensuring successful participation in the branch/business banking ecosystem.
  • Maintaining policies and procedures according to audit guidelines and creating new COI/referral partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years proven successful sales management experience in financial institution, with an emphasis on the payments industry.
  • Strong understanding of SMB and Business Banking client needs and payment processing solutions.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a high-performing sales team, a results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets and proven success in achieving ambitious targets.
  • Expertise in virtual and in-person sales.
  • Strong solution-oriented mindset, with strong deal-closing skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multitask and juggle complex tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize technology effectively to manage workload and employee relationships.
  • Approach challenges creatively and find solutions that benefit both employees and the bank.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of various software programs including Word and Excel, Salesforce, and ability to quickly learn additional systems/software.
  • Fluency in an additional language.
