- Leading a mid-size engineering team in the implementation of strategic planning functions including product strategies, workforce requirements, and expense and capital budget proposals
- Executing applied research or advanced development of new products, materials, or processes
- Interacting with and providing updates to executive management and other departments on advanced technical issues
- Keeping up to date on relevant technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Utilizing claim data analytics to drive systematic improvement
- Addressing internal quality issues and communicating quality performance to site leaders
- Assisting Product Managers with specification documents for products
- Creating control plans to support new product development projects to help avoid problems that may occur
- Developing and owning key measurable tracking, reporting, and actions to meet established targets
- Identifying and providing opportunities for growth and development of team members
- Facilitating product training for site employees as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or computer science or equivalent
- Supervisory experience (required)
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical leadership role with strong management and leadership skills (required)
- 5 years of experience in the design and development of products
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- Process improvement and data analytical skills preferred
