About the role

  • Sales and Applications Manager providing expert support for Sandvik’s Underground Drilling team. Guiding machine selection and pricing strategies while collaborating with sales and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support to the Sales Area by guiding machine selection, application solutions, and pricing strategies
  • Work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to analyse product performance and track competitor activity
  • Contribute to New Product Development by supporting early planning, customer validation, and new product introduction activities
  • Lead agreed strategic initiatives and special projects to support business development and order intake growth
  • Develop, maintain, and govern pricing strategies, standard specifications, and options to ensure profitability
  • Act as the main link between Sales Areas, Product Management, and Engineering by sharing data and insights
  • Monitor competitor activity and share insights with Product Lines and Sales Areas
  • Review monthly warranty reports and work with Technical Support to assess warranty claims
  • Provide input to Engineering and Product Management on product safety and improvements

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience leading teams
  • Experience in complex, technical product environments
  • Strong safety‑first mindset and confident working in underground mining environments
  • Ability to communicate technical and commercial information clearly
  • Strong analytical capabilities, able to interpret performance data and identify trends
  • Proactive and solutions‑focused with sound judgement and strong problem‑solving skills
  • Strong digital capability, highly organised, and confident in supporting both technical and commercial activities
