About the role
- As Systems Engineer for AutoStore sales, analyze data, develop layouts, and create offers for clients. Join HÖRMANN Intralogistics in driving growth and system optimization.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data & evaluate key metrics: assess relevant performance figures such as inbound and outbound throughput, bin distribution, and task configuration to ensure optimal system design
- Develop system layouts: create AutoStore layouts in the Grid Designer, including live workshops at customer sites
- Run simulations: use the AutoStore Simulator to verify performance and derive improvements for design and process
- Prepare cost calculations & proposals: develop commercially and technically sound offers, including cost estimation
- Inspire customers: produce clear 3D visualizations and presentations that make complex systems easy to understand
- Manage projects end-to-end: take responsibility from first contact through concept development to proposal presentation
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics) or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years' experience with AutoStore systems, ideally with a systems integrator
- Confident use of Grid Designer & AutoStore Simulator, Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and 3D CAD/visualization
- German language skills at least at C1 level; English at least at B2 level
- Structured, team-oriented working style: organized and responsible, willing to share knowledge with colleagues and embracing the HÖRMANN team spirit where projects are won together
- Willingness to travel approx. 20% (~1 day/week); onboarding in Munich, then flexible work across the DACH region
