Responsibilities
Primary point of contact for customers regarding retrofit, modernization, and expansion projects — particularly in the areas of plant control systems and mechanical equipment.
Proactively engage existing and new customers about modernization options and technical upgrades.
Capture, analyze, and document customer requirements, technical constraints, and modernization potential.
Prepare proposals including cost estimates, pricing, inquiries to subcontractors/suppliers, cost‑benefit analyses, and accurate post-project recalculations.
Close coordination with Sales, Purchasing and specialist departments.
Lead and manage retrofit and modernization projects — including schedule, resource, budget and risk management.
Requirements
Completed technical vocational training or degree, e.g., in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field.
Some to several years of experience in technical sales, engineering, service or project execution — preferably in intralogistics, plant construction, or modernization/retrofit projects.
Solid technical understanding of mechanical systems, control or automation technology, as well as experience analyzing customer requirements and developing technical concepts.
Knowledge of costing or proposal preparation is a plus.
Analytical, structured and independent working style — commercial awareness and the ability to identify modernization potential.
Confident customer-facing manner and strong communication skills; good German language skills (at least B2/C1) and English skills are advantageous.
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support and project supervision; driving license Class B required.
