About the role

  • Sales Representative focusing on client acquisition and technical solutions in machine and plant engineering. Active involvement in projects and collaboration across company departments in hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

  • Acquisition of new customers
  • Consulting and support of existing customers
  • Management of projects through to customer acceptance
  • Independent management and development of a defined industry segment (e.g., automotive, medical technology, electrical engineering)
  • On-site presentations and consultations for tailored solutions
  • Market and competitor analysis to identify new business potential
  • Collaboration with technical departments, project and service management
  • Preparation, follow-up and management of quotations through to order placement
  • Preparation of analyses and statistics (e.g., quote-to-order ratios)
  • Preparation of costings and quotations
  • Identification of customer requirements, development of solution approaches and technical consulting for customers
  • Coordination of customer inquiries with Sales Management
  • Order management, order tracking, after-sales service (surcharges, spare parts)
  • Close cooperation with all company departments and intensive communication with specialist departments and purchasing
  • Participation in trade fairs and industry events

Requirements

  • Successfully completed technical or commercial training, ideally focused on mechanical engineering, automation or electrical engineering, or an equivalent qualification
  • Proven sales aptitude
  • Strong communication skills and customer-oriented demeanor
  • Several years of experience in technical sales, preferably in special-purpose machinery or automation technology
  • Structured, independent working style and high self-motivation
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and, if required, internationally
  • Confident user of MS Office
  • Good command of English; additional languages welcome
