About the role

• Consultant for network security addressing IT vulnerabilities and incident response while collaborating on projects in a hybrid work environment. Engaging in proactive and reactive security measures remotely and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Use your hands-on skills to secure our clients' IT environments against unauthorized access and complex attacks — remotely and on-site.
• Combine proactive activities (architecture and concept development, system hardening, hands-on security testing) with reactive tasks in incident response.
• Keep both the overall architecture of systems and networks and the technical configuration details in view to protect the client environment.
• Actively work on current topics such as cloud security and critical infrastructure (KRITIS) and help shape new projects.
• Support projects from requirements analysis and planning through execution, including presenting results.

Requirements

• Professional experience in the IT field (e.g., administration, development, networking, or IT coordination) and curiosity to try out current tools, technologies, and unconventional approaches.
• Broad technical knowledge across different topics (e.g., how networks function, fundamentals of operating systems, cloud, Active Directory, databases, web technologies).
• Enthusiasm for IT security and initial project experience (e.g., creating security concepts, hardening systems or network components, working as DevSecOps, or in security administration).
• Experience communicating technically complex topics clearly in the form of reports and presentations in German.
