About the role
- Microsoft 365 Consultant delivering SharePoint migration strategies and solutions for digital transformation. Collaborating on complex IT landscapes and ensuring data migration integrity.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for planning, designing and executing SharePoint solutions and migrations — with a particular focus on tenant-to-tenant and content migrations.
- You will analyze the source environment, develop migration strategies and create detailed migration plans.
- You will carry out migrations using modern tools, monitor progress, troubleshoot issues and ensure that data, metadata, permissions and workflows are fully and securely transferred.
- You will verify data integrity, perform tests and validations, and document migration results.
- You will support users at go-live and act as the point of contact for troubleshooting and post-migration optimization.
- You will run workshops for requirements gathering, preparation and end-user training, and share your knowledge with the team.
- You will advise clients on integrating SharePoint into complex IT landscapes and ensure smooth transitions.
Requirements
- Degree in an IT-related field or an equivalent qualification gained through professional experience.
- Several years of hands-on experience implementing, administering and migrating SharePoint environments (on-premises, cloud and hybrid).
- Strong experience with content migrations and ideally with tenant-to-tenant (T2T) migrations.
- Very good experience using migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, AvePoint, Quest, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of SQL Server/Clustering and Azure is an advantage.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, MS-900, SC-400) are a plus, or willingness to obtain them.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Willingness to attend occasional on-site client meetings; the majority of work is remote or office-based.
