About the role

  • Head of Product leading the product vision and strategy for Group Benefits at Guardian. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and financial security.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a clear, bold product vision and strategy
  • Lead the creation and enhancement of products
  • Oversee the management and evolution of a comprehensive suite of Group Benefits products
  • Track market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics
  • Build strong partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, Operations, and Technology
  • Set robust product line goals for growth, profit, and market share
  • Ensure all offerings adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and Guardian’s internal standards
  • Attract, nurture, and mentor high-performing talent

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA, etc.) preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in product management, ideally within Group Benefits or insurance
  • Strategic Thinking & Execution: Demonstrated ability to translate insights, data, and feedback into actionable product strategies that drive growth and innovation.
  • Deep knowledge of group benefits products, industry trends, and regulatory landscape
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with Guardian or a similar values-driven organization is advantageous.
