Responsibilities
Responsible for coding, reviewing and posting all ongoing business transactions for selected entities within the corporate group
Cover the full spectrum of accounting across all ledgers (including closing entries such as accruals, provisions, intercompany reconciliations, and VAT returns) and work closely with the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for individual entities according to HGB and IFRS and support the preparation of the group's consolidated financial statements
Independently conduct reconciliations with other departments
Ensure master data maintenance and regular account reconciliations
Requirements
Completed commercial vocational training with an additional qualification as Bilanzbuchhalter (certified financial accountant) (m/f/d) and/or a degree in business administration
At least initial professional experience in accounting within a company, tax consultancy or auditing firm and good knowledge of accounting requirements under HGB; basic knowledge of international accounting (IFRS) is desirable
Familiarity with relevant financial accounting systems, ideally SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA
Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) is required
Very good German and at least good English skills (B2)
High degree of independence, initiative and sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of working in a team
Strong analytical thinking and a confident demeanor, with absolute discretion, accuracy and reliability
