Responsibilities
Responsible for coding, checking and posting all ongoing business transactions for selected companies within the corporate group
Cover the full spectrum of accounting across all general ledgers (including closing entries such as accruals, provisions, intercompany reconciliations, and VAT returns) and work closely with the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for individual entities under HGB and IFRS, and support in preparing the group consolidated financial statements
Independently coordinate reconciliations with other departments
Ensure maintenance of master data and regular account reconciliations
Requirements
Completed commercial/vocational training with an additional qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (m/f/d) and/or a degree in business administration
At least initial professional experience in company accounting, a tax consultancy or an auditing firm, with good knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB); basic knowledge of international accounting (IFRS) is desirable
Familiarity with standard financial accounting systems, ideally SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA
Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel) are required
Excellent German and at least good English skills (B2)
High degree of independence, initiative and sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of teamwork
Strong analytical skills and a confident manner; absolute discretion, accuracy and reliability
